Guidelines

UMRSC scholarships are awarded to U.S. citizens and permanent residents attending a U.S. college or university in any of the 50 states who are, or will be, attending a college or university level study program in Denmark for a minimum of one semester during the regular academic calendar year. The scholarship awards are sent directly to the college or university the recipient is attending and not to the recipient. Please note, summer programs and graduate level (Masters, Doctorate, etc.) programs do not qualify for the scholarship award.

“During my six months of studying and conducting research in Denmark, the scholarship served as tremendous moral support.” – Rebild Scholar

UMRSC recipients are expected to further their general knowledge and understanding of the culture, arts, heritage and language of Denmark during their study period. Scholars are also asked to share highlights of their experiences living and studying in Denmark with stories, photographs, and/or videos posted on UMRS’s website, posters, and other media.
